The lost week

This week's blog will be short and sweet, but I'm trying to keep my commitment of writing every week...so here we go.

I spent most of the week sick and absolutely exhausted.  With no energy to do anything, the girls and I just stayed home and rested. While I was still working most of the week, all I really wanted to do was sleep.  It really feels like I lost an entire week of my life.

The weather was nice enough that the girls were able to spend a lot of time outside which definitely helped with Mina's energy throughout the week.  Peaches love Spring, and she also enjoyed running around or just lounging in the sun everyday.  By the end of each day, despite the fact that we hadn't taken any walks, both girls settled in for a quiet evening.   I was thankful for that.

She wasn't a perfect angel all week and on several occasions decided that my landscaping needed to be redone, but I forgave her because I knew she wasn't getting all of the excercise that she needed. O need new mulch this Spring anyway, so no real harm done.

Wednesday was Fiona's first birthday!  While I didn't get to see her, Nicol sent pictures and we talked.

Nicol and Fiona had a fun mommy daughter day.  This little girl never stops moving!

Picasso's birthday was Wednesday too.  He is six now and was also spoiled with toys, treats, and ice cream.

It's crazy to think a whole year has passed!

By Friday evening, I finally felt like I was up for a walk so we headed downtown.

I ordered a pizza, and while we waited for the order to be ready,  I got the girls out of the car for a stroll.

The flowering trees and the sun made for a beautiful evening walk.  Surprisingly the girls didn't forget how to walk nicely, and we enjoyed a nice, albeit not very long walk.

After being stuck at home with no energy for a while week, it was a good way to get us back out there moving again.  Mainly I'm just glad I didn't miss all of the flowering trees.  These pansies also made me smile.

Today I have a full day of things to get done- dishes, laundry, dusting, and vacuuming top that list, but I also hope to do a little work in the yard if I'm up for it.  Mina has created a lot of work for me over the Winter!

I'm on vacation for the next week(Mina is already in full on vacation mode), a much needed week off finally!  While I had a full week of fun planned, being sick for the last week has caused me to adjust those plans a bit.   So I'm off to catch up on things that have been put off while I wasn't feeling well so that the girls and I can hopefully get in a little adventure this week.  If all goes well, I should have some fun and interesting things to share next week.

Time to remove the puppy from my lap and get moving!  Hope you all have a great final week of April.
